Dinghy courses

At Wind Fornells, we are lucky. Very few schools can offer results from the outset. We can. The conditions we have in Fornells Bay let the student sail confidently right from the start. This means our job of providing information and technique is more effective from the very first moment. Perhaps more effective than in any other school we've seen. (Modesty apart).

All the courses has two sessions, each session is two hours and fifteen minutes long in high season and two hours forty five minutes long in low season.

Perfect your tecnique with two man boats
Some boats can hoist a third foresail, giving a surprising turn of speed and thrilling handling. Great fun!

The Gennaker is an asymmetric sail cut less full than the Spi (or spinnaker). It gives great performance, is easier to handle and gets you planing that much faster. It’s hoisted on a halyard and the tack is made fast to the bowsprit.

On this course you'll become familiar with the gennaker and spi, hoisting, dousing and lowering the sails, getting the very top speed out of the boat and righting from capsize.

We use Laser Stratos, Laser 2000, RS 400, Topper Buzz and Catamaran KL 14.
