Dinghies, catamarans and windsurf boards and funboards

All our craft are chosen to serve two purposes: to be suitable for the courses Wind Fornells Windsurf and Sailing School provides and to be as much fun as possible.

Windsurf
Beginners

Hifly Primo, Hifly Motion, Hifly Magnum JP 205, JP 180 and for the kids Kiddy Board de Staboard and Young Gun.

As you probably know, beginners’ boards are the biggest and heaviest of them all and they're the most stable. All our beginners’ boards are easy to handle, stable and do the best job for those getting their first surfing skills.

Advanced

JP 180, JP 165, JP 150

These boards allow you to take advantage of the skills you learned as a beginner. They provide the response that allows you to hone your technique, develop your skills and achieve full mastery.

Starting fun board or Freeride

JP 180, JP 165, JP 150, JP 135, JP 120, JP 110,
JP 95 Freerace157, Freerace 142

These get you used to fun. They're shorter than all-round boards, much less stable and have less buoyancy when stationary as it's their speed that makes them plane (or is it fly?). They're perfect for learning fun starts, for practising sailing without a dagger board for which mastering the board with your feet is essential.

Rigs

Neil Pryde, Desde 3,5 m hasta 9,8 m. Arneses, Chalecos, Trajes de neopreno: Jasón, Neil Pryde.

Use of buoyancy aids is obligatory. Wind Fornells Windsurf and Sailing School provides one for each student during his course.

Shorties, summer wetsuits, and longer suits for autumn are available when required. All are included in the price.

Dinghy Sailing

Beginners

Laser 2000.

For sailing with 4 or 5 students and the instructor. For those who prefer learning with family or friends or simply sailing in company.

Laser Stratos with gennaker

Topper, Laser Pico.

Single Handers . Each student has his own craft during the course, 3.4 m in length and with a single sail of 5.2 m2. Easy to handle, they are responsive without being aggressive. Great boats, lots of fun, they make for fast and easy learning. A complete beginner can learn to handle either in less than half an hour in the ideal conditions of Fornells Bay.

Advanced

Laser 2000, RS 400, Topper Buzz, and Laser for a crew of two. With mainsail, foresail and gennaker. Extremely popular among young sailors across Europe.

They're fast and demand quite a bit of experience and co-ordination. Ideal for learning team sailing and for training crews to work two sails and the trapeze for hanging outboard.

Laser

Individual. Olympic class with a single sail, the Laser is fast, vivacious, extremely responsive and somewhat unstable for those who have not fully mastered the skills she demands.

The Laser is unforgiving of the slightest mistake, but a correct grounding easily leads to full mastery. 4.23 m. in length we have models rigged with various sails: 4.7m2, 5.6m2 and 7.2m2. If you can master the Laser, you'll easily handle any other kind of dinghy.

KL 14

For the more daring and for experts. Its speed -you can actually water ski behind one of these - means that the crew must have lighting fast reactions. This model is easy to handle and are perfect for learning to sail in catamaran.
