Menorca is one of the best venues to practice dinghy sailing, a very good way to enjoy the sun, the wind and the sea of Minorca. In WindFornells we love passing our passion for this amazing outdoor activity on to our clients and seeing them enjoying themselves and getting hooked on this fascinating sport.

 

We offer different kind of sailing courses depending on the client’s level and the kind of boat used. Each boat has its own peculiarities since there are a lot of different sizes and shapes, as well as different ways to sail.

Our sailing courses usually consist of a minimum of two sessions. Each session is of approximately two hours duration and can be done in the morning or in the afternoon. You will find our detailed timetables on the right of the page.

Discover sailing

For those who have never sailed before

In this course you will learn the basic terminology of the sport, how to rig the boat, basic sail trimming, steering a course, full basic manoeuvres and how to adapt to the vessel for balance and full control.

Discover sailing with a single handed dinghy I

It requires a bit of agility but you don’t need to be very fit

You will learn to sail on our fast single handed boats, easy to manoeuvre and enjoyable, specially designed to start sailing.

Discover sailing with a single handed dinghy II

For those who have already sailed before in single handed boats

In this course you will basically get ready for the jump to the laser. You will expand the basic concepts and terminology, you will improve the basic manoeuvres and, of course, you will have great fun!

Perfect your technique with a two man dinghy

For those who have experience on sailing a two man dinghy

You will improve your technique in order to make the most of your sails and boat. This course is also useful to train for a competition.

Laser Introduction

For those who have already experience on sailing and wish to try the Laser

In this course you will learn how to use the footstraps, your weight and the daggerboard, sharpen your helming skills, choose and trim the sails, take full advantage of the apparent wind and...to plane!

Advanced Laser course

For those who have experience on sailing and want to improve their Laser skills

In this course, you will improve your Laser skills. The main focus is to acquire strong wind technique and make the most of your sail and boat.
